【 Weak current College 】 view computer hardware information is actually very simple
In a corporate LAN, often share some folders to allow others to access, typically once a folder is shared, all computers in LAN can see in my network places on the shared folder, sometimes we just want to let some need access to the file of user access, and want to let other unrelated users "blind", and so on, if you want to add your own LAN computers so that hidden work? designed for "difficult" requirement will not be able to achieve it? if you would like to know that such a request could not be achieved, look at what does it say below!
Hide folder
If you want to let other users cannot directly through my network places to access a folder (for example "my sharing folders"), we can "hide", the specific methods are as follows:
Right-click the folder icon and select eject shortcut menu in the "sharing and security" in the opened window choose the "share" tab, select the "share this folder" in the "shared name" behind the text box, enter the shared folder name and folder name to add a half-width characters "$", and finally click "OK" to save the settings.
If you are not in the above window to the shared file name add "$" character, you can also right-click the shared folder, and select "Rename" is the name of the shared file when adding a half-width of the "$" character (for example "my shared $").
After this operation, the other user to open my network places, the list of online neighbour will not see this shared folder.
If you want a user to access your shared folders, just tell him the absolute path to the shared folder, the path is "/your computer name my share", simply enter it into the Explorer's address bar and enter to access the back of the note: "$" is indispensable, if less the character will not succeed.
Hide your computer
The above method is hidden in the LAN to a specific folder, if you want to own a computer hidden, please see:
Click "start → run", in the open "run" dialog box, enter"cmd" to open a command line window, enter "netconfigserver/hidden: yes", then return it so that others cannot directly from my network places to see your computer, it is only through the Explorer address bar, enter the computer name "\" to access your computer.
However, by the above method can only be valid for the current, each subsequent rebooting the system after you rerun the command line, if you want to use your own computer from network neighborhood permanently hide, you can modify the registry to achieve:
Open the registry editor, in the left window, expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServiceslanmanserverParameters", found in the right-hand window DWORD type value to "1" and press the "F5" to refresh the registry.
