【 Weak current College 】 change Favorites location methods

It is not a heavy method:

Open the WinXP/2000/2003 Registry Editor, and enter the right window HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\UserShellFolders in Favorites key value is set to a different path, such as: E:\Favorites, then put the original contents of the folders in favorite moves to new Favorites, this is equivalent to one of the Favorites.

Method two:

For example I want to put the path of the default save Favorites to D:\study. Close the browser, open the InternetExplorer Explorer to C:\Windows\Favorite, hold down the SHIFT key and drag with the left mouse button and release the D:\study.
Small Tip: when you do this, be sure to turn off the InternetExplorer, otherwise there is no way to complete.

Method three:

Favorite default path is "C:\Windows\Favorites". You reinstall the system prior to a backup copy of the folder, and then reinstall the system can cover the back. But many of my friends often forget that results after collection of selected Web sites are all gone, really painful.

Now if the Favorites path is set to another disk, such as "E:\Favorites" we no longer have to worry about reloading system sometimes forgot to backup troubles. You should also try?:
1 Favorites "C:\Windows\Favorites" copy to disk; E
2, modify the registry. Run regedit, drill-down "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShellFolders".
(Tip: you can take the "C:\Windows\Favorites" as the find object to search, you can find it soon, but first the results were not found, the second is), and then double-click the right side of the window in the string "Favorites", the path is changed to "E:\Favorites". "OK" to exit the registry editor.

Method 4:

Use Registry Editor to change the location of the IE Favorites.
1. from the lower left corner turn point [start] [run], a dialog box appears, in the "open" type regedit, click [OK] to enter the Registry Editor window;
2. open folder
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShellFolders;
3. in the last open UserShellFolders folder content (right window) in the Favorites to see the current location of the IE Favorites folder, double-click the Favorites icon to the left (marked with a red "ab"), in the open dialog box in the "value data (V)" bar "% USERPROFILE%" is replaced by its own set of location, for example, in the root directory of the F-up, into the "numeric data after the (V)" the entire contents of the column should be "F:\Favorites", then OK to complete the modification;
Description: XP after installation, the default location of the IE Favorites, "%USERPROFILE%\Favorites is% USERPROFILE%" is a special tag that XP actually refers to the c drive on the system's default location, i.e. C:\DocumentsandSettings\Owner (using Explorer will find).
4. close the Registry Editor window, click [start]-[logout] re-loaded at XP or restart my computer, the new settings to take effect.
Description: the registry editor does not set the [Save] button to close the window automatically "saving", the new settings to take effect, it must also be true in the above "4." After.
The newly installed computer operating system troubles, always put your Favorites to move to a partition other than the c drive to save, the system doing the back again, really annoying Ah, provides centralized method, hope useful to everybody.
